Business Professionalism

A professional image is a key defining element that shapes your reputation. It is part of your personal brand both inside and outside of the workplace. Professionalism is reflected in your appearance, behavior, conduct, and the verbal and non-verbal communication used in face-to-face interactions as well as social media messaging.

Learning and applying business etiquette principles will give you a competitive edge by enhancing your professional image and increasing your credibility with clients and customers. Whether you are calling on a new client or attending a reception, by following basic business etiquette, you will feel more confident enabling you to better connect with those you meet. Applying basic business etiquette will help you meet the most important goal, treating people with courtesy and respect.

This course will cover key strategies and tips to strengthen your awareness of how your body language, communication and social skills can enhance your professional image, increasing your career opportunities.

Upon completing the 3-hour interactive course, participants will be able to:

  • Make favorable first impression using professional and positive verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Employ techniques to enhance overall communication with co-workers and clients
  • Interact more comfortably in networking and community events, increasing opportunities to make contacts and connections
  • An optional addition to the course is dining etiquette to increase confidence and ease when attending business luncheons, receptions and parties, this option would extend the course to 4-hours
