USI offers over 100 opportunities to study in another country for a summer, a semester or a year.
The University of Southern Indiana offers study abroad opportunities in more than 60 countries around the globe. With advance planning, it is possible for students in virtually any major to participate in an overseas program. Programs offer a variety of experiences, from specialized courses taught entirely in English to direct enrollment in the foreign university. Students receive USI credit for the coursework completed during the summer, semester or academic year at an approved USI study abroad location.
Financing study abroad
The University is committed to making studying abroad affordable, as well as accessible, to all students. The costs of some USI study abroad programs are based on tuition, room and board at USI. Since participants pay program fees to USI and receive USI credit, they can continue to apply their scholarship and other financial aid towards those fees. Additional scholarships for study abroad are available through the Center for International Programs.
