Guidelines for Establishing an International Partnership

International Exchange Partnership Proposal Form

General guidelines for establishment of new exchange programs:

  • Strategic partnerships.
  • Proposals must be supported by department chair and dean of the college.
  • Terms of Memorandum of Understanding should include specific dates (usually three years) with guidelines for renewal/termination of agreement.
  • Termination of exchange agreement if no activity within an agreed upon time frame (recommend one or two years).

Partnership Proposal Review Process

Proposals, once approved by department chair and dean, will be reviewed by the International Student Advisory Committee. The committee, appointed by the president, advises the Assistant Provost of the Center for International Programs and periodically reviews policies and matters concerning recruitment, retention, services and exchange programs. The committee consists of the Assistant Provost of the Center for International Programs (chair), the director of the International Studies program, one faculty member from each academic college plus an additional faculty member from the World Languages and Cultures department, the director of Admission and a student representative recommended by the Assistant Provost of the Center for International Programs.
