Accounting and Professional Services Club
The Accounting and Professional Services Club is a professional organization composed of accounting majors and others interested in accounting as a profession. The club is an official student chapter of the Institute Management Accountants (IMA), a national organization of professional accountants. The USI student chapter has received the Gold Award of Excellence on multiple occasions. The club is an affiliate of the Evansville Chapter of IMA. As a member of the IMA, the club competes on a national level with other accounting clubs.
The objectives of the Accounting and Professional Services Club are:
Meetings are held every other Thursday in conjunction with Beta Alpha Psi meetings. Dues are $15 per semester.
Alpha Kappa Psi - Theta Phi Chapter
Alpha Kappa Psi is a national co-ed professional business fraternity. AKPsi enhances as well as supplements academic training. The fraternity prepares you to excel in the real world of business by providing opportunities to develop important leadership, organizational, time management and communication skills. Some ways of accomplishing this include job shadowing, speakers and workshops, corporate tours, community involvement and networking opportunities with alumni and faculty.
Through membership in Alpha Kappa Psi, individuals establish lifelong friendships with thousands of alumni across the country. AKPsi is open to those students in the Romain College of Business who are at least second-semester freshmen and in good standing.

We focus on expanding the knowledge and skills of our members in the areas of communication, leadership, networking and professional development.

Association for Computing Machinery
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) brings together computing educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges. As the world’s largest computing society and the provider of the Turing award, ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life‐long learning, career development, and professional networking.
The ACM Student Chapter provides unique opportunities for networking, mentoring and bonding over common interests. It provides support both within the student community and to local communities outside the institution. ACM at USI invites all computer enthusiasts to come join our chapter. In addition, we love collaborative work and invite all who feel they can contribute (any skill set: art, design, business, management, engineering, science, Math, and others).

Association for Information Systems
Association for Information Systems (AIS) advances and promotes the knowledge of information systems while focusing on professional development. The AIS Student Chapter at USI is a branch of the national organization. Through the national organization, the AIS Student Chapter at USI brings together students and IS professionals locally and nationally in the pursuit of perfecting skills and building contacts through networking. AIS is the premier professional organization that allows students to research, teach, and practice information systems worldwide.
The AIS Student Chapter provides opportunities for mentoring, networking, professional development, portfolio development, and national recognition. Each year the national organization hosts competitions that members are able to submit pieces of work for and add to their portfolio. Every year, there are different topics that range from security and analytics applications to retail, movies, video editing, medicine, etc. AIS also hosts America's Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) where members are able to meet with professionals, submit research papers, and/ or submit projects. AIS is open to all majors and minors!
Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.

A student considered for membership must: be an accounting, finance, or CIS major; have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0; and currently be of at least sophomore standing.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society recognizing outstanding academic achievements of students in business programs accredited by AACSB International -- the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
Upperclassmen and graduate students are invited to join based on class rank and achievement of specific cumulative grade point averages.

The AMA Southern Indiana Chapter, formerly the USI Marketing Club, is a student-led organization dedicated to providing hands-on marketing experiences to students of all majors. These experiences include product and service branding, ideation (idea generation), networking with business professionals and project management in a collaborative environment.
USI's chapter is a member of the American Marketing Association. Students have an opportunity to earn professional certifications, such as Professional Certified Marketer, as well as certifications in digital marketing, content marketing, management and sales. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in nationwide student competitions and participate in AMA conferences. In addition to these tremendous learning and growth opportunities, students who join USI’s Collegiate Chapter will be able to list their AMA membership on their resume, signaling their dedication and experience in marketing to employers.
Members of the Marketing Club have routinely been recognized for their success in events held by the Romain College of Business and in national competitions. These accolades can be attributed to the dedication of members and their constant drive to succeed.
Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) is an academic honor society that recognizes scholastic achievement in economics. Benefits of ODE membership include closer academic and professional relationships with faculty in economics and access to a publication outlet for promising undergraduate and graduate student papers in The American Economist, the Journal of Omicron Delta Epsilon.
Benefits for members include (1) upon election to the society by the department's faculty a lifetime membership fee is charged to each prospective member; and (2) in return, the member receives a membership card, a scroll, and a year's subscription to The American Economist.

USI Speaking Eagles Toastmasters
USI Speaking Eagles Toastmasters is a club for business students who desire to build their communication skills. Toastmasters is an international organization devoted to helping men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking--vital skills that promote self-actualization and enhance leadership potential. Members learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are also there to become better communicators. Members learn to introduce speakers, give prepared speeches, conduct meetings, give impromptu talks, and perform many other roles. Constructive evaluation is at the heart of the Toastmasters learn-by-doing program.
The student Toastmasters club is supported by the Accounting Circle, an advisory board for accounting programs at USI. All student fees are paid by funds raised by the club or donated by the Accounting Circle.
Guests and new members are always welcome. Join us for our weekly meeting, every Tuesday (excluding summer) at 4:30 p.m. in BE3033.
