Commuter Student Resource Page

Welcome Commuter Students! Let’s be real: being a college student is no walk in the park. As a commuter student, you will most likely encounter obstacles that are different from those resident students face. While balancing coursework, commuting, working and having a social life may prove challenging, New Student and Transitional Programs is here to help make your experiences as a Screaming Eagle as invigorating as possible. It all begins here. Our office provides many opportunities for commuter students to get involved on campus. We can help you connect to over 150 student organizations, participate in leadership development programs and help you learn about movies, entertainment, lectures and activities to attend. We have created this website to serve as a resource about issues related to you—the commuter student. We can help you get started on your journey here at USI.

Make sure to check out the University Center. This is the building where you can charge your devices, use a microwave, find a place to study, or even attend campus events. The University Center has food locations, student lounges, meeting rooms, and Carter Hall.
