The University Health Center (UHC) remains open to provide medical services and health-related information to students, faculty and staff. All individuals are asked to schedule their appointment online or by calling 812-465-1250. (See hours in right column)

COVID-19 Testing on Campus

On-campus COVID-19 testing is available for USI students and employees. PCR COVID-19 testing is available for USI students and employees by appointment only on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.  PCR COVID-19 testing is $139 billed to insurance or you will get a bill for $139.

USI no longer receiving free antigen COVID tests. Antigen tests are available at a $20 charge.

COVID-19 USI Vaccination Clinics

The University Health Center will no longer be able to give COVID booster shots until it has received the new FDA approved bivalent COVID vaccine formulas. The UHC will be able to administer the new bivalent booster once it has received shipment. The Center is still administering first and second doses of the primary series vaccine at this time.  

The USI Vaccination Clinic to the general public, allowing anyone eligible for the FDA-approved Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to make an appointment and receive the vaccine at the on-campus University Health Center. All healthy individuals age 12 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine, regardless of state of residence. Minors must be accompanied to their appointment by a parent or guardian.

Appointments are available from 9 a.m. - 2:15p.m. every Tuesday that the University is open.

Vaccinations are administered in the University Health Center, located in lower level of the Health Professions Center, room HP0091.

We recognize that health and education are precious assets. Our goal is to help you maintain or improve your health, allowing you to reach your highest potential both in and out of the classroom.

Services provided at the University Health Center does not replace the need for a primary care physician.

**When making appointments for physicals please be sure to have all paperwork ready to turn in at the time of your appointment. If you are a CNHP students be sure to log in to Castle Branch to print out any forms needed and to see what immunizations you will be required to get.**

Flu Shots on Campus

The University Health Center (UHC) is once again providing flu shots for USI students and employees. We have flu shot clinics scheduled for this fall, dates are listed below. Appointments for the clinics are not required but all students and employees wanting to receive a flu shot in the clinic are asked to schedule an appointment online. This is to protect everyone and keep big groups out of the clinic lobby. Appointments can also be made by calling the UHC at 812-465-1250, though online scheduling is preferred. Flu shots are free for students with the Office Visit Plan. Students without the Office Visit Plan can bill the flu shot cost through insurance or pay $25.

October 5: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Across the hall from our office. 

October 6: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Orr Center Lobby

October 6: 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Liberal Arts Center, 1st Floor

October 26: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Across the hall from our office.

November 2: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Orr Center drive thru and Lobby.

Cost:
Flu shots are free for students with the Office Visit Plan. Students without the Office Visit Plan can bill the flu shot cost through insurance or pay $25. Employees covered by any USI Anthem medical plan may receive a flu shot at no cost and should bring their University ID and Anthem medical card to their appointment.
