Description of Workshop

This workshop is designed to enhance analysis of obtaining appropriate imaging studies to best meet the treatment plan for your patients.  Following an overview of imaging studies science, case studies will be utilized to assist in determining the appropriate imaging study, when is contrast indicated, and options to consider.  This workshop will be applicable to primary and urgent care settings.  The workshop welcomes all skill levels.

Who Should Enroll in this Workshop?

This workshop is designed for English-speaking advance practice registered nurses and physician assistants in the State of Indiana.

Workshop Outcomes

  • Determine appropriate imaging studies to meet patient treatment plans
  • Identify risks of imaging studies
  • Discuss patient economic considerations with imaging testing

    Criteria for Successful Completion

    • Submit registration and payment
    • Actively participate in full workshop
    • Submit program evaluation

    Contact Hours

    CE hours will be available for Nurses, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Physicians, and other licensed professions.

    The University of Southern Indiana College of Nursing and Health Professions designates a maximum of 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ hours for physicians, knowledge/application/ hours for pharmacists, and nurses. Learners should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
