Illustration Emphasis

Art majors with illustration emphasis will earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern Indiana. At USI, the difference between the two degrees lies within the University Core 39 Curriculum.

Why study illustration?

Illustration emphasis students develop both the technical and creative skills needed to be visual storytellers. Coursework in drawing, digital illustration techniques, and visual narrative enable students to explore and develop individual artistic styles and vision for sequential illustrations, 3D graphics, technical illustrations, and concept illustrations.

Illustration Program

The Art and Design Department offers a major in art with an illustration emphasis. The major culminates in a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
