The Conversation Circles initiative is a partnership among Academic Skills, the Intensive English Program (IEP) and the Center for International Programs at USI. A special focus is to support international students enrolled in the IEP program, but all international students at USI are invited to participate.
The conversation leaders are USI students themselves, who assist international students to enhance their knowledge of the English language and develop conversational skills. Sessions are usually held two to three times weekly in the IEP office area on the third floor of the Orr Center.
The program is a good way for international students enrolled at USI to practice their English skills in small groups while also meeting other USI students.
For more information about specific days and times of the sessions, please contact Dr. Deanna Odney, Writing Specialist in Academic Skills, or Dr. Emilija Zlatkovska, Director of the Intensive English Program.
