Academic Support

Here at USI, we have #ScreaglePride in every student on campus. We want to see you succeed during your time on campus and beyond. That's why we've cultivated a robust Screagle Academic Support Network (SASN) here on campus.

Here are the SASN resources available to you from day one on campus.

In addition to tutoring and supplemental instruction, Academic Skills offers other forms of academic support for students.

Workshops on several academic success topics are offered during the semester, and a variety of topics are covered during Student Success Week.

Academic Skills personnel are available on an as-requested basis to deliver workshops to classes and student organizations about the following topics:

  • Successful academic planning
  • Note-taking
  • Time management
  • Textbook reading strategies
  • Test-taking strategies
  • Test anxiety

Students can also find strategies and worksheets to help them become successful college students by viewing or downloading our Academic Survival Guide.
