Cooking and Culture

The Cooking and Culture series promotes cultural diversity though food, teaching people about nutrition, as well as how to "cook with flair." The program, initiated by Dr. Norma Rosas Mayén, associate professor of Spanish, has changed more than one person's perspective of food and deepened understanding of other cultures.

Madrigals

45th Madrigal Feaste

A reenactment of a 15th-century royal feast, the entertainment also included dancing and merriment on a grand scale. A collaborative effort, the Madrigal Feaste partners talented faculty and students with University Dining Services to choreograph an evening fit for a king.

Food Deserts

Faculty, students and local hospital representatives discuss the purpose of FAVE (Fruits and Vegetables Evansville) and the benefit it brings to people living in food deserts.
