What is PowerPoint?

Microsoft PowerPoint is a product that provides users with an interface to design multimedia slides to be displayed on a projection (overhead) system or personal computer.  The software incorporates images, sounds, videos, text and charts to create an interactive presentation.

What is the purpose of Microsoft PowerPoint?

Microsoft Powerpoint is the tool to use when creating overhead slides for a presentation.  PowerPoint enables the user to create dynamic, informational slides through the use of text, graphics, and animation. Slides created with this software are often displayed on projection screens for business, training, or educational presentations.  Powerpoint includes the option to save the files as transparency.  Powerpoint also provides the option to print audience handouts, outlines and speaker notes.
