Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Computer Information Systems

Technology is one of the fastest growing and in-demand career fields. A Romain College post-baccalaureate certificate in computer information systems (CIS) is designed for those who have already earned a bachelor's degree in a different major. Many employers view the certificate as equal to a bachelor's degree in CIS. Our flexible program provides the skills to transition to a career in a technology- or information systems-related field and the educational requirements to sit for the Certified Computer Professional Examination sponsored by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals.

The certificate requires only 18 hours of courses; four required and two electives. More about the program and course requirements>>

"As a professional in Human Resources, I was intrigued by the Certificate because of the increased reliance my field has on information systems to maintain employee data. Many companies rely on the automation that comes from a human resource information system to effectively and accurately make decisions. Protecting employees’ sensitive data is a high priority to me. After completing this program, I have been able to directly apply many of the concepts I learned. I feel more confident working in our systems and with our IT department to maximize functionality and protect sensitive data."
