Historic New Harmony offers great experience for students with part-time seasonal positions, that are flexible with class schedules and internship opportunities.
Part- time seasonal positions for non-students are also available for Museum Aides and Sales Assistants. Apply through USI Human Resources.
Internships
Undergraduate and Graduate Internships are available to (but not limited to) students of History, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Communications and Journalism, Speech, Computer Science, Marketing, Management, Education, Museum Studies and Business.
Typical Historic New Harmony internships are undertaken for 3 semester hours credit. On average students are required to be on site 10 hours a week for a 15-week semester.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to assist the interpretive and sales staff with regular daily programs and activities, or to take part in special events and educational programs. Scheduling is at the convenience of the volunteer and training is provided.
In addition to sharing New Harmony’s unique history with visitors, benefits include free tours for the volunteer and the volunteer’s immediate family, sneak previews of exhibits and much more.
