Theatre

The USI Society for Arts and Humanities acts as a major support mechanism for the USI Theatre stage productions growing out of the undergraduate theatre program.

Literary Arts

The Society also supports the annual New Harmony Writers Workshop, which brings prominent poets and writers to New Harmony for a week of workshops, public lectures and readings in June. The Southern Indiana Reading Series (formerly, the RopeWalk Reading Series) brings poets and writers to campus for public readings throughout the academic year. Student writers receive financial assistance from the Society through merit scholarships. In addition, Society members host receptions following readings by guest artists.
