Pi Sigma Alpha

Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society. The University of Southern Indiana's Upsilon Zeta chapter inducts new members during each spring semester.

The national office of Pi Sigma Alpha in Washington, D.C. publishes Pi Sigma Alpha Newsletter twice yearly. In addition, it offers scholarships for exceptional political science paper submissions and for members attending graduate school.

Membership

To qualify for induction into Pi Sigma Alpha at USI, a student must:

  • Be a junior with 63 semester hours completed
  • Have a 3.4 overall GPA at all colleges attended
  • Have a 3.4 GPA in at least three political science courses taken at USI
  • Receive approval from the political science faculty
