Digital Video Production

The Digital Video Production minor provides an opportunity for students to gain digital production and design skills which are applicable to several fields: Graphic Art, Advertising, Web Design, Media Content Development, and Television production.

The Digital Video Production minor is interdisciplinary and open to all students, regardless of major.

Digital Video Production Course Requirements

The Digital Film Production minor can be completed in 21 credit hours and is comprised of five required courses:

  • ARTD 275 - Computer Graphic Arts or ARTD 274 - Introduction to Digital Photo Imaging
  • RTV 255 - Media Production
  • ARTD 372 - Video Art
  • ARTD 382 - Interactive Graphics
  • RTV 358 - Advanced Digital Audio Production

The remainder of the courses are determined by students in consultation with their faculty advisors. The electives in the minor may be chosen from electives offered by a variety of majors and departments, including Communication & Media and Art & Design.

Other film-related elective courses may be applied toward the minor with program director approval.
