Cisco Settings

Changing Ring Type

  1. Press the Settings button.
  2. Use the Scroll keys to highlight Ring Type in the Settings menu.
  3. Press the Select soft key to display a list of Ring Types.
  4. Press the Scroll keys to highlight one of the available Ring Types.
  5. Press the Play soft key to hear a Ring Type.
  6. Press Select and then press OK soft key to choose the Ring Type.
  7. Press the Save soft key to save your selection and exit to return to the main menu.

Adjusting the Ringer Volume

  1. While the phone is not on a call, press the UP or DOWN VOLUME keys to hear a sample ring.
  2. As the ring plays, press the UP or DOWN VOLUME keys to adjust volume to the desired level.
  3. To save the ring volume setting, press the SETTINGS button and then press the SAVE soft key.

Forwarding ALL Calls

  1. Press the CFwdAll (or Forward All) soft key
  2. Dial the number to which you want to forward all calls. (remember to include the 8 or 8+1 if forwarding to an external number)
  3. To cancel forwarding of all calls, press the CFwdAll (or Cancel Forward) soft key.

Placing a Speaker Call

  1. Without lifting handset, Press Speaker button OR press Soft Key labeled "New Call"
  2. Dial number
  3. Press the Speaker button OR the "End Call" softkey to end the call.

Answer a Call Using Speakers

  1. Press the soft key labeled "Answer" OR Press the Speaker button. Without lifting handset, Press Speaker button OR press Soft Key labeled "New Call"
  2. Dial number
  3. Press the Speaker button OR the "End Call" softkey to end the call.

Parking a Call
You can park an active call and then retrieve it using another phone.

  1. During an active call, Press the More soft key until you see the Park tab
  2. Press the Park soft key to park the call.
  3. Make a note of the call Park number, Hang up
  4. To retrieve the parked call, go to any Cisco phone in our system and dial the Park Number

Transferring a Call

  1. Press the Trnsfer soft key
  2. Dial the number you are transferring the call to
  3. When you hear ringing press Trnsfer again, or when the party answers, announce the call and press 
    Trnsfer
  4. Hang up to end your participation in the call

Placing a Call on Hold

  1. During a call press the hold soft key.
  2. To return to a call press the Resume soft key.

Use Call Pickup Within your Call Group
You can answer a call TO your extension from any other extension within your call group.

  1. As a phone rings at an extension within your call group, Press a Line button.
  2. Press the More soft key to view the Pickup softkeys.
  3. Press the Pickup soft key to transfer the call to your extension
  4. Answer the incoming call that is redirected to your phone.

Missed Calls, Placed Calls OR Received Call History

  1. Press the Directories button
  2. Use the Scroll key to select the desired option (Missed, placed, received calls)
  3. Press the Select key to display the desired history.
  4. To speed dial a number, press the Dial soft key.

Redialing the most recently dialed number

  1. Lift Handset
  2. Press the Redial softkey

Placing a Conference Call

  1. During a call, press the more soft key and then the CONFRN soft key. This opens a new line while placing the other party(ie) on hold.
  2. Place a call to another party.
  3. When the call connects, press CONFRN again to add this party to the call.
  4. Repeat the first three steps to add another caller.
  5. Note:
    • Once the conference call initiator disconnects, no new conferees can be added.
    • Keep in mind that when you place a call on hold a beeping tone is generated every few seconds. To avoid disrupting the other callers, consider muting the call instead.
    • To abandon the addition of a conferee, press the LINE button.

Soft key Prompt options

  • Answer - Answer calls
  • CFWD All - Use this procedure to forward all incoming calls to another number
    • Press CFWDALL soft key, you will hear two beeps
    • Enter the extension number to forward to
    • A flashing right arrow will appear in the upper right corner of the LCD - indicating that all calls are being forwarded
  • Conference - Three Party Conference calling
  • End Call - allows you to end a call
  • G Pick up - Group pick up, allows calls to be answered within your group
  • Hold - Allows you to place a call on hold
  • New Call - Allows you to place a new call
  • Park - Enables calls to be "parked" or placed on hold so that other may pick up the call by dialing the park code displayed on the phone of the person who parked the call
  • Pick Up - Allow caller to pick-up/answer calls that are ringing.
  • Redial - Redials last number dialed on that phone set
  • Resume - Allows you to resume back to a held call
  • Transf - Transfers calls to extensions or voice mail
