Accounting Program Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals

Vision

Our vision is to provide our students an exceptional learning experience in accounting and to become the preferred source of professionally trained accountants for employers in our region.

Mission

The Accounting Program’s highest priority is to provide excellence in teaching and to prepare undergraduate students to be productive members of their profession and society. We believe research contributions in the field of accounting and service to the university, the accounting profession, and the community are fundamental to our mission. Consistent with the college, our research will focus primarily on applied and pedagogical issues, and we advocate service that is responsive to the evolving needs of our stakeholders.
