Radiologic Imaging Sciences (RadTech) is the science of using radiation or radioactive substances in a controlled manner for the diagnosis of illness or injury and the treatment of disease. The radiologic technology program at USI prepares individuals to function effectively as entry-level radiographers. The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredits the Radiologic Technology program and over 90% of our graduates pass the licensing exam on the first try.
Once a student is accepted into the program, the program is a 28-month continuous program that includes summer courses.

Students should strive to have a 3.4 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the prerequisite admission courses.
When is the application deadline? Is admission multiple times a year?
September 15 for admission into the program for the following fall term. Admission is once a year.
How many students are accepted each year?
A total of 19 students are accepted each year for the Radiologic Technology Program.
How many applications do you typically receive for the Radiologic Technology Program?
Approximately 35 applications are received each year for the Radiologic Technology Program.
When will I know if I am accepted?
Notifications from the Radiologic Technology Program are sent by email to the applicant within two weeks after the interview process. To ensure receipt of your notification, please ensure the Radiologic Technology Department has your correct USI email address.
