Health Informatics and Information Management

Developed in response to the changes and demands of the healthcare industry, the Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management (BSHIIM) will combine concepts in healthcare, information technology, and management practice to provide graduates with the knowledge needed to be a valuable designer, implementer, and manager of health information systems.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the program is competitive and selection of the applicants is based upon the following:
- A minimum 2.75 GPA in required prerequisite courses based on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of all required pre-admission courses with a letter grade of "C" or better before beginning the HIIM program.
Once in the program, students will have to maintain a minimum level of performance (no lower than a "C" letter grade) in each of the HI courses to progress to the next semester of the program.
