The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education encourages students to take an active role in student organizations and support a variety of clubs and organizations. There are opportunities to participate in student government and student publications as well as clubs that plan entertainment, social, volunteer and educational activities.
There are many benefits to becoming involved in student organizations. In addition to learning more about yourself, your strengths and interests, you gain valuable skills. The friendships you develop, working together as a team on projects and goals, often remain strong long after graduation. The satisfaction of working as a team toward a common goal and knowing that you have made a positive contribution to your community is huge. Involvement in campus and college events, activities and organizations often help you develop relationships with faculty, staff and administrators, too.
