Student Wellness Programs - Fall 2022:

August/September 2022:

8/30: Be Well to Do Well Table (12-1 p.m. UC Outdoor table) - Stop by our table outside the UC to learn about the many wellness resources that exist on campus and pick up free wellness giveaways!

9/7: Stress Less Workshop (4:00-4:45 p.m. in RL 0026): Stress is an unavoidable part of life, but how we make sense of it and respond to it can make a world of difference for our well-being. Join this workshop to learn about self-care practices for stress management. 

9/14: Sexual Health Station (11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. UC West Desk): Stop by to test your knowledge about consent and sexual health, and pick up free sexual health resources, condoms, and giveaways! Sponsored by RFWC and University Health Center. 

9/15: Be Rested Workshop #1 - Improve your snooze (4:00-4:30 p.m. in RL 0026): Learn basic sleep hygiene practices to improve sleep quality. All attendees will reserve a free sleep mask and earplugs. This is the first session in a 2-part series (part 2 on 9/20)! Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket!

9/19: HIV Testing (12-3 p.m. in UC 2217): Take care of your health and know your status! Free and confidential HIV testing is offered in partnership with AIDS Resource Group Evansville. No appointments, just drop-in. 

9/20: Be Rested Workshop #2 - Breathe & Relax (4:00-4:30 p.m. RL 0026): Learn breathing and stretching exercises to relax and fall asleep faster. This is the second session in a 2-part series! All attendees will reserve a free sleep mask and earplugs. Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket! Co-sponsored by University Health Center.

9/28: Wellness Fair (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in  Screaming Eagles Complex, Courts A & B): The annual USI Wellness Fair for students and employees offers an opportunity to learn about different resources available at USI and in the community to support your overall health and wellness. FREE giveaways, screenings, food, and more!

October 2022:

10/18: Flowers on the Lake (4:30 p.m. in front of Liberal Arts Building): October is domestic violence awareness month. Join the Sexual Assault & Gender Violence Prevention Group to learn how you can recognize signs of relationship abuse, and pledge to be part of the solution. The event will conclude with a silent walk to Reflection Lake, and a ceremony to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.

November 2022:

11/9: Sexual Health Station (11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. UC West Desk): Stop by to test your knowledge about consent and sexual health and pick up free sexual health resources and giveaways! Sponsored by RFWC and University Health Center.

11/10: Stress Less - the role of nutrition and exercise in stress management (11 a.m.-12 p.m. in HP 1008). Whether it's finals week or the holiday season, the end of the semester can be particularly stressful! Bring your lunch and learn more about the role of nutrition and exercise in stress management. Presented by the Food & Nutrition Program in collaboration with RFW.

11/9-11/18: 10 Day Virtual Gratitude challenge - SIGN UP HERE! Gratitude is good for your health! The 10-Day Virtual Gratitude Challenge will ask you to reflect on a daily gratitude question, practice, or prompt each day. You’ll receive an e-mail with the gratitude practice of the day! At the end of the challenge, just complete a survey and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a wellness prize pack!

TBD: Paws & Play: Visit with therapy dogs and pick up free stress management resources the week before finals! Sponsored by Rice Library and RFWC.

12/12-12/15: Drop-in and de-stress: Pick up free coloring supplies during finals week at the RFWC front desk, while supplies last! Enjoy them in our lobby or take them to go.
