How Do I Apply to CAP?

Complete the following steps in any order. 

1. RESEARCH Which Courses Will Benefit You
   Review the courses available at your high school
   Verify that you meet USI's course prerequisites
   Watch this video to learn how to research course utility both at USI and elsewhere (2020, 16:03)
   Optional: A sample classroom presentation for students (2019, 13:08)
   
   
2. APPLY to CAP
   Create an account and complete a CAP application ONE TIME ONLY. Click the red "Apply to CAP" button on the right. Screenshots available here (revised 8/12/22).
   If you've ever completed a CAP course, you do not need to reapply. Go to Step 3!

3. REQUEST Your CAP Courses on the Permission Form; TURN IN by the Deadline
   You must complete all steps by the deadline to be eligible for USI dual credit. If you've been a CAP student before, you must still complete this step. 
   Fall 2022 enrollment ends Friday, September 2.
   Spring 2023 enrollment ends Friday, January 20.
   
   
4. PAY BILL
   Bills for fall courses will be mailed home in early October with full payment due October 25.
   Bills for spring courses will be mailed home in early March with full payment due March 25.  Bills for summer courses will be mailed home in early May 2 with full payment due May 17.
   Bills also will be sent to the USI eagles email account on or after the 10th of each month.

YOU ARE NOT SUCCESSFULLY ENROLLED IN CAP UNLESS ALL STEPS ARE COMPLETE AND SIGNED FORM IS RETURNED TO THE CAP OFFICE BY THE POSTED DEADLINE. ACCEPTANCE TO CAP IS CONTINGENT UPON QUALIFYING GPA AND QUALIFYING PRE-REQUISITES (WHEN APPLICABLE).
