The National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) have established training requirements in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for programs supporting research training, career development, or research education.
At least eight hours of face-to-face RCR training is required for undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and trainees who receive support through any NSF or NIH funds. This training should be completed by the end of one's program.
In order to meet this requirement, USI will provide a series of fifty minute workshops throughout the year for individuals to attend. Though required for students and trainees supported by NIH and NSF, all researchers, faculty, and students, are welcome to attend.
For more information about the requirements, visit this site www.usi.edu/ospra/responsible-conduct-of-research-(rcr) or email RCR@usi.edu.
