Spring 2019: SERIE Film Festival
The World Languages and Cultures department presents the German Film Festival (SERIE). Through the generosity of the Goethe-Institut (Boston, MA) and the assistance of the USI Society for the Arts and Humanities, we secured the rights to five films to screen on campus for a large public audience.
February 15 — March 22
Start time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Forum 1, in the Forum Wing of the Wright Administration Building. The closest parking is in Lot B.

* - Animated short films shown as matinee on Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. in Forum 1 at USI; suitable for all audiences.

The films will be shown in German with English subtitles. The screenings are free and open to the public. A brief introduction will precede each film, and you are welcome to stay for a discussion afterwards.

SPRING 2018: Tournées French Film Festival at USI
This Spring 2018 with the support of Tournées, the College of Liberal Arts and the USI Society for Arts and Humanities, the World Languages and Cultures Department will be hosting a French Film Festival.
All films will be shown in French with English subtitles. The festival is free and open to the public.
Films will be shown on Fridays at 7 p.m. in Forum I (USI campus). The nearest parking lot is Lot B.
A brief introduction will precede each film, and a discussion will follow.

In Spring 2017, with the support of the Spanish Film Club by Pragda, the College of Liberal Arts and the USI Society for Arts and Humanities, the World Languages and Cultures Department hosted a Spanish Film Festival.

2016 SERIE Film Festival
World Languages and Cultures at USI presented the third installment in the international film series with a German Film Festival (SERIE). Through the generosity of the Goethe-Institut (Boston, MA) and the assistance of the USI Society for the Arts and Humanities, we secured the rights to five films – M, Lili Marleen, The System, Almanya: Welcome to Germany, and Run Lola Run - which were screened on campus for a large public audience.
With over 500 attendees, the first Tournées Film Festival at USI in 2015 was a huge success! We couldn't have done it without the support of the USI and Tri-State communities.
A woman's quest to uncover her past in Martinique. A single father's touching relationship with his daughter, set in a bleak, rural town in Quebec. The charmingly animated story of friendship between a bear and a mouse. Through these stories and more, you will discover French and Francophone culture in six critically acclaimed films. Through the generous support of the FACE Foundation, the College of Liberal Arts, and the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Southern Indiana, we are bringing you the Tournées Film Festival on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. from January 23 - February 27. The films will be shown in French with English subtitles. The screenings are free and open to the public. A brief introduction will precede each film, and you are welcome to stay for a discussion afterwards.

PRAGDA SPANISH FILM CLUB FESTIVAL - 2013
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Southern Indiana is proud to present a free film series that features recent cinematic works from several different Spanish-speaking countries, from the Sahrawi refugee camps of Algeria to urban Argentina. The Spanish Film Club series was made possible with the support of Pragda, the Embassy of Spain in Washington DC, Spain-USA Foundation, and the USI Society for Arts & Humanities.
