Pride and Prejudice, adapted by Jon Jory, and directed by Eric Altheide, assistant professor of theatre, will play in rotation with William Shakespeare's All's Well that Ends Well, directed by Elliot Wasserman, professor of theatre and chair of the Performing Arts Department, in the University of Southern Indiana's spring 2012 Repertory Project. Pride and Prejudice will play at 7:30 p.m. March 20-22, 30-31, and 2 p.m. April 1. All's Well that Ends Well will play at 7:30 p.m. March 23-24 and 27-29 and at 2 p.m. March 25. Both productions will be staged in the Mallette Studio Theatre in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center.
Actors' Equity Association members Joseph Bowen and Licia Watson appear as Mr. and Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, and as Parolles and the Countess of Rossillion in All's Well that Ends Well.
The cast for Pride and Prejudice also includes Lydia Abell, Whitney Claytor, Preston Edge, Rebecca Fortner, Andrea Hemmer, Craig Patterson, Michele Rose, Presley Roy, Stephanie Saurheber, Kaleb Sullivan, Julian Velasquez, Logan Vickers, and recent USI graduate Meredith Woodard. Amelia Dalto, is choreographer for the production.
The cast for All's Well that Ends Well includes Geoff Bach, Jeremy Brailsford, Melissa Brown, Jared Collins, Morgan Cox, Mikael Drobny, Leigh Grimes, Alexander Hellenberg, Bridgette Hoover, Patrick Litteken, Gwendolyn Snow, Dustin Stephens, Samuel Wentzel, and Eric VonFuhrmann, emeritus associate professor of English, as the King of France.
The artistic team for both productions is Liz Reddick, stage manager and a member of the Actors' Equity Association, Eric Cope, assistant professor of theatre, as lighting designer of All's Well that Ends Well and scenic designer of both productions, Shan Jensen, associate professor of theatre, as costume designer, and USI students Jennifer McDaniel as lighting designer of Pride and Prejudice, Daniel Kopp as sound designer, and Mikael Drobny as projection designer.
