Meet the Team
Erika Uebelhor Erika will graduate in 2022 with two degrees, Psychology and Political Science with a Pre-Law Minor. She has been involved in several projects including an experimental study on self-objectification, exploratory study on open education practices, and a correlational study exploring personal relationships. Erika plans to pursue a law degree with a focus in environmental law. |

Alex Edwin Alex will graduate in 2022 with a dual baccalaureate in Biochemistry and Psychology. He has been involved in the experimental study on self-objectification and computational study of Thymine methylation. Alex is interested in furthering his education in psychiatry, biochemistry, or psychology. |

Alyssa Bolen Alyssa will graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She was a part of research study titled Gender Differences on Exercise Consumer Products. She plans to pursue a master’s in social work and become a Licensed Social Worker with an emphasis on addiction. |

Austin Matthews A sociology major and psychology minor, Austin will graduate with a B.S. in the spring of 2022. He has been involved in many research studies in both sociology and psychology department. Austin will begin his Ed.S. in school psychology at the Indiana University in Bloomington in the fall of 2022. |

Sarah Siebers Sarah will graduate in 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Cognitive Science. She is currently assisting with the Gender Differences in Exercise Consumer Products study. Sarah plans to pursue her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology. |

Sydney Altmeyer Sydney graduated in 2020 with her B.S. in Psychology and Exercise Science. She is interested in developmental sport and exercise psychology. Her undergraduate research focused on gender differences in athletics. She has been involved in diet and mental health project. Sydney is attending Occupational Therapy program at USI.

Joshua Adkins Joshua graduated in 2019 with his B.S in Psychology. He is interested in perceptions of individuals with mental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Bipolar Disorder. Joshua has been involved in diet and mental health and self-objectification projects. He plans to pursue a doctorate degree in Social Psychology.

Jackson Peak Jackson Peak is majoring in nursing and minoring in psychology. His is interested in medicine, psychology, and biology. Jackson plans to become a nurse practitioner in the pediatric unit.

Kelsey Teel Kelsey graduated from USI in 2020 with her B.S. in Psychology. She is attending USI’s Master of Social Work program and working towards a post master’s certificate in addictions. Her goal is to open her own practice as a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addiction counselor. Kelsey is member of Psi Chi and the Big Brothers Big Sister program. She loves to travel, cook, garden, and play golf. |

Gabrielle Wy Gabi graduated in 2019 with a dual baccalaureate in Journalism and Criminal Justice and Psychology. She has been involved in several projects (i.e., a systematic review and meta-analysis on meat and mental health, an experimental study on self-objectification and stress, and a correlational study on mate value and exercise). Gabi is pursuing her doctorate degree in the Criminology and Criminal Justice program at the University of Maryland. |

Landen Billington Landen graduated in 2020 with his B.S. in Psychology. He is interested in the relationship between music and cognition. His undergraduate research focused on the effect of music on working memory. Landen was raised in McLeansboro, IL, and enjoys playing music, and seeing friends and family in his free time. |

Kaitlin Krout Kati graduated in 2020 with her B.S. in Psychology and two minors Sport Management and Intercollegiate Athletics. She is attending a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Kati gained experience in writing manuscripts, abstracts, and poster presentations. One of her main accomplishments in the lab was publishing a manuscript in a top nutrition journal! |

Bridget Stallings Bridget graduated in 2020 with her B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. She has been involved in several projects including an experimental study examining self-objectification and a correlational study examining mate value and exercise. Bridget is pursuing a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Memphis to fulfill her passion for working with children. She has also been awarded a graduate assistantship to work in a research lab at the University of Memphis. |

Skylar Kemp Skylar graduated with her B.S. in Psychology and two minors in Spanish and Cognitive Science. She is interested in learning theory, evolutionary psychology, and cognition. Skylar plans to pursue a master’s and doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or behavioral neuroscience and conduct research on Autism Spectrum Disorder. In her free time, Skylar enjoys rock-climbing, yoga, reading, and cooking. |

RaAnna Tucker RaAnna graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology. She is interested in developmental psychology, and emotional and behavioral disorders in early childhood. RaAnna’s research focuses on self-objectification and the effects of social media on anxiety. She will begin her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in the near future.
