Ph.D. Graduate, Dr. Amy Lynn Queret-Mitchell

USI grad Dr. Amy Lynn Queret-Mitchell, Ph.D., a Certified Culinary Educator born in Vincennes, Indiana was hired as the Director of Culinary Arts at Ozarka College.

Amy Lynn began her teaching career in culinary arts in 1999 for a community college in Illinois where she promoted to a lead instructor. She moved to Indiana where she developed and implemented several programs, which included the Culinary Academy on the Jasper campus, project Excel for the culinary program, and a certificate program for Vincennes University.

While at VU she enrolled in the dual enrollment program to work on her Bachelor’s degree in the BGS program with a minor in Nutrition through Indiana Southern University. Once completing her BGS with a minor in Nutrition from USI in 2009, Amy Lynn moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she enrolled in Louisiana State University in 2010.

She completed her Master’s Degree in 2012 and enrolled in the Doctoral Program. On May 11, 2018, Amy Lynn graduated with a Doctoral degree. Her dissertation topic discussed the attitudes and beliefs about whole grain foods of high school students attending 4-H University.
