The legal studies minor at the University of Southern Indiana is an interdisciplinary minor which includes courses from disciplines such as economics, criminal justice, business, communications, political science and anthropology. The minor is aimed at students who wish to pursue legal careers that do not require a law degree (such as paralegals), or who may wish to work in a variety of settings like law firms, corporations and government agencies, for example. They may also pursue careers in business, banking or real estate.
Students who complete the political science or criminal justice studies major may count up to six hours of credit from the major toward the legal studies minor.
