High School Media Day Workshops

Sign up sheets for the workshops will be available at the registration table. Teachers/advisors are asked to help direct students to sessions most appropriate for their interests. We ask that sessions that have limited seats not be filled with students from the same school.

Times are changing, and at Jostens, we're keeping up with change. Purchasing books, selling ads, new yearbook creation tools, and new technology that links your book to the social communication students want every day are just a few things we'll discuss in this session. The future is bright! Come see what it looks like.

Experience the pressure of executing a studio-based television newscast. Students will be assigned the roles of directing, cameras, audio, switching, video playback, floor directing and teleprompter.

Deciding what your yearbook staff will cover and how they will cover it is one of the most important decisions you make. This session will guide you through the process of mapping out coverage allowing you to tell the best story of the year.

We'll also explore the legal and ethical standards that separate professional photographers from the amateurs.
