Charles Armstrong Chuck is a long-time graphic designer from Evansville with a BS in Marketing from Indiana University and an MFA in Graphic Design from Indiana State University. He worked in advertising as an Art Director before going out on his own as a freelance consultant. At USI, Chuck’s primary teaching responsibilities will be in illustration and animation, and his research will explore the role of the designer as an agent of social change. If his name is familiar, it is because he taught here from 2000 - 2015 before accepting a position teaching design at Indiana State in Terre Haute. |

Sara A. Christensen Blair Sara Christensen Blair is a Professor of Art and Chair of the Art & Design Department at USI. She was a Professor and Chair at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD from 2006 - 2019 where she taught graphic design, mixed media, and arts management. She earned a BFA at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago, a MFA in Mixed Media (painting/fibers) from the Univ. of North Dakota, and this fall, upon a successful defense her dissertation, The Domestic Sublime, she will earn a PhD in Visual Arts: Aesthetics and Art Theory from the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. |

Tae Rang Choi Tae Rang Choi graduated from Michigan State University majoring in marketing. During the Master's and Doctoral programs, she studied advertising and consumer psychology at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests are the effects of one's self-concepts in consumer-brand relationships and the roles of new media in branding. She is from South Korea. |

Julie R. Eyink Julie Eyink is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts. She received her B.S. from The Ohio State University in 2012, and her Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2019. She previously taught at Butler University in Indianapolis as a Future Faculty Teaching Fellow during the 2018-2019 academic year. |

Kristin LaFollette Dr. Kristin LaFollette received a BA and an MA in English and creative writing from Indiana University (South Bend). In addition, she received a graduate certificate in women's, gender, and sexuality studies and a PhD in rhetoric and writing from Bowling Green State University. Her interests include arts-based approaches to research and pedagogy, cultural rhetorics (with a focus on medical rhetorics and American Indian and Indigenous studies), queer and feminist theories, and creative writing. Prior to coming to USI, Dr. LaFollette taught writing, English, and humanities courses at Indiana University (South Bend), Indiana Tech, and Bowling Green State University. |

Quentin R. Maynard Dr. Quentin Maynard earned his PhD from the University of Alabama in 2019 and his MSW from Florida State University in 2013. His research interests include gerontology, death and dying, and end-of-life and palliative care. He previously taught Research for Social Work Practice, HBSE, Growing Old in America, Social Welfare Policy, and History of Social Welfare at the BSW level. Dr. Maynard’s social work practice experience include working with children in the foster care system placed in a residential facility, family therapy, program evaluation, and general forensic social work practice. |

Rosalie R. Moffett Rosalie Moffett is the author of Nervous System, (Ecco/Harper Collins) winner of the National Poetry Series. She is also the author of June in Eden (Ohio State University Press). She earned her MFA in poetry at Purdue University. She has been awarded a Wallace Stegner Fellowship from Stanford University, the "Discovery"/Boston Review prize, and scholarships from the Tin House and Bread Loaf writing workshops. Her poems and essays have appeared in Tin House, The Believer, FIELD, Narrative, Kenyon Review, Agni, Ploughshares, and other magazines, as well as in the anthology "Gathered: Contemporary Quaker Poets." |

Alexandra K. Natoli Dr. Alexandra Natoli is Assistant Professor of French at the University of Southern Indiana. She completed her PhD in the Department of French at the University of Virginia. Entitled "Muscle Memory: Rethinking the Scatological in French Visions of Deportation," her doctoral research explored the surprising and vivid ways French authors evoke excreta in depictions of the Nazi camps. Before coming to USI, Dr. Natoli taught at the University of Virginia, the University of Alabama, Alfred University, and the Université Paris-Est Créteil. Her teaching and research interests include the Holocaust and the Occupation, film studies, graphic novels, and modern and contemporary French literature. |

Matthew D. Powless Matt Powless received his bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. from Indiana University. His Ph.D. is in Counseling Psychology with a focus area in Sport and Performance Psychology. As such, the majority of Matt's research has focused on sport and performance. He has particular interest areas in decision-making, deliberate practice, and the use of technology to enhance performance. He has taught Positive Psychology, Sport Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Multicultural Counseling-Related Skills and Communication, and Lifespan Development. Matt recently completed his clinical doctoral internship at Illinois State University with focal areas in the Sport Psychology and Eating Disorder rotations. Prior to pursuing his doctorate full-time, Matt served as an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the Indiana University Wrestling team for three years. |

Laura J. Soderberg Dr. Laura Soderberg joins USI from Franklin & Marshall College. She received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research looks at the intersections between race, childhood, and American ideas about population, with particular interest in how literature offers new forms for thinking about reproduction and demographic data. She teaches African American, Multi-ethnic American, and nineteenth-century American literature, as well as classes in Children's Literature, Law and Literature, and Narratives of Immigration. |
