Our programs have an outstanding history of graduates achieving excellent pass rates on national and state licensure examinations, as well as preparing our students for employment and leadership roles in health care organizations throughout the country.

The College has a global influence in health, health care, and health care education with 2,455* students from 28 states and six countries enrolled in on-campus and online undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

To ensure our graduates are ready for the challenges of a rapidly changing health care delivery system, our educational goals focus on critical thinking and creative problem solving. Additional goals include the use of evidence-based practice protocols, effective communication, cultural sensitivity, systems leadership for quality care and health policy.

Faculty expertise in each discipline guides students by providing a supportive learning environment that is challenging and creative. Cutting-edge technology for all of the programs provides students with a learning environment that simulates the experiences the student will encounter in the practice setting.

In addition, the College’s Center for Health Professions Lifelong Learning provides accredited professional development opportunities for health professionals through certificate programs, continuing education conferences and workshops. Each year, over 1,300 health care professionals complete online certificate programs, representing every U.S. state and territory, Canada, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and other countries, and more than 2,100 attend continuing education programs on the USI campus. We are dedicated to providing quality programming to assist the busy health professional in enhancing knowledge, skills and professional competencies.
