The mission of the Risk Management office is to protect the assets of the University (financial, physical, and human), to minimize legal liabilities, promote safety and accident prevention, and to support the University’s compliance with laws and regulations. Strong partnerships and collaboration within and outside the University of Southern Indiana community are central to the success of this mission.
Risk Management works to maintain a balance between protection of the University’s assets, the benefits of the activity, and fulfillment of the University’s mission. By establishing policies and procedures, Risk Management manages risk and mitigates losses.
Risk Management provides consultative services to faculty, staff, and students in areas which present risks to individuals and the University.
