As of the 2017-2018 academic year, USI marks its 20th anniversary as a chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. This is truly a milestone to celebrate and is a testament to the continued hard work of the university’s administration, faculty, and staff. Today USI’s chapter includes more than 600 members inducted since it was officially installed on May 1, 1998.
USI's chapter has also been recognized by the Beta Gamma Sigma Board of Governors and the staff of Global Headquarters as an Honors Chapter as of the 2016-2017 academic year.
BGS is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in BGS is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
On February 22, 2017, we dedicated the Beta Gamma Sigma key which is displayed in the atrium of the Business and Engineering Center. It serves as a symbol of academic excellence. We thank Dr. Victor V. Schriefer, Jr. for generously underwriting this special gift.
