The 2016 Honors Convocation for the Romain College of Business celebrates the academic accomplishments of our students.
This year’s program was led by Dr. Mohammed Khayum, dean, with University donors presenting generous scholarships and awards to deserving business students. The Romain College is proud to also present several awards based on outstanding student achievement.
Overall, more than 80 students were recognized.
Accounting major Emily Cummings received the Romain College's 2016 Distinguished Graduate Award. "I am honored and humbled to receive this award," she said. "However, I cannot go without crediting others for their part in my current and future successes. I would have never been able to accomplish what I have if it wasn't for the support of my family and RCOB faculty members."
As Distinguished Graduate, she will also have the honor of serving as the Reflection Speaker during the College's Commencement ceremony.
