Finance Major Wins Writing Competition

The Money and Banking class for Fall 2014 joined in an annual writing competition.  Thirty individuals participated in the competition which allows students to practice and strengthen their written communication skills.  Writing topics ranged from interest rates, unemployment, community banking, online banking, technology, and the Federal Reserve. 

The class is taught by Dr. Marie A. Bussing, assistant professor of economics.  Guest speakers included Dr. Erin Yetter, economic specialist with the St. Louis Federal Reserve and Gary Shelton, Vice President, Financial Advisor at Old National Bank Investments.
