- 2012: Kovanic, N. USI Outreach & Engagement Community Grant. Student team in Mangement 361, Spring 2012 conducted focus groups of fifth and six grade female students and seventh and eighth grade students to determine the extent to which females used Facebook and reasons electronic media were used versus their perceptions on the extent to which males their same age used electronic media to communicate. Girls were also asked their preferences for workshop sessions for the upcoming Girls in Bloom Expo. The team presented the results to the board of directors of Girls in Bloom in December, 2012.

Two College of Business Students and one Engineering student were provided a co-op with Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana.
