Get Involved

There are plenty of ways to be involved in SGA. Students can serve as an Executive Officer, General Assembly Member, Justice on the University Court, or on an SGA committee.

Attend a Meeting!

Attending a General Assembly meeting is one of the best ways to get a feel for how SGA works. If you are interested in SGA, but aren't sure if you want to apply yet, attend one of our meetings! All of our General Assembly meetings are open to the student body. Meeting times and locations can change depending on guest speakers and meeting type. Please check out our social media or contact our for the latest meeting information.

Apply for Vacant Office

After the annual SGA elections in March, some offices are still left vacant. Students can apply to be appointed to a vacant office online. Vacant offices are listed on the Executive officers' and General Assembly officers' pages.

Apply for First Year Leadership Council

Freshmen are eligible to serve as council members on USI's First Year Leadership Council. Applications to the council can be found here.

Apply for Associate Justice

Associate Justices of the court are appointed by the President and confirmed by the General Assembly. To see how many vacant positions there are on the court, see the Judicial officers' page. To apply, click here.

Join an SGA Committee

SGA oversees committees comprised of USI students. For more information, visit the SGA Committees page.
