Scholarship Opportunities

The Teacher Education Department has several scholarship opportunities available to students.   

Helen M. Bamberger Memorial Scholarship - For a junior or a senior with strong writing skills and a keen interest in teaching and community activities. 

Cobb-Brittain Scholarship - For a deserving education major pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education. 

Evansville Area Early Childhood Scholarship EAECA- For a deserving education major working in the field of early childhood and must have three years experience as an early childhood professional.

Evansville Retired Teachers Associate Scholarship - For a deserving education major from Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, or Warrick counties with personality and leadership potential. This is a one-time non renewable scholarship awarded to a current sophomore or junior education major. 

Kappa Delta Pi Scholarship - For a promising education major with a special education minor. 

Aline Nunn Renner Non-traditional Scholarship - For bright deserving education majors. 

USI Student Education Association Scholarship - For a member of the Student Education Association demonstrating scholastic excellence and school and community involvement. 

Bower-Suhrheinrich Endowment for Teaching Excellence Graduate Scholarship - For teachers beginning a master's degree program in education. 

Teaching Eagles Scholarship Program The program is designed to recruit science and mathematics teacher candidates from the large pool of students majoring in STEM fields (Secondary Teaching Eagles) and to recruit education majors who wish to minor in mathematics or science content (Elementary Teaching Eagles).
