COSMA Accredited InstitutionThe Sport Management degree program(s) at the University of Southern Indiana has received specialized accreditation through the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) located in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.

The Sport Management programs in the following degrees are accredited by COSMA:

  • Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management with concentrations in Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreational Sports, Sport Communication, and Sport & Business Studies.

As a sport management major at USI, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Work directly with USI’s championship-caliber Division II athletic teams.

  • Organize and promote golf tournaments, distance-running competitions and other events.

  • Use social media for sports marketing, communications and analysis.

  • Begin sports management internships as a freshman and get up to 400 hours of internship experience by the time you graduate.

  • Attend professional sports management conferences, including USI's own Sport Management Summit.

Choose a specialized career track within our sport management degree

At USI, you'll take all your sport management courses from experienced faculty with extensive sports management industry experience. Our sport management degree program includes four specialized tracks:

  • Intercollegiate athletics
  • Recreational sports
  • Sport communication
  • Sport and business studies

Graduates of USI's sport management program have a strong track record in the job market. Some have gone on to positions in professional sports (including with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts), while other sport management graduates are now employed in sports media, amateur and youth leagues, parks and recreation programming and manufacturing and retail.
