Facilitation is the process of designing and implementing a successful business meeting of a group of people who want to achieve a common goal, whether it be creative-problem solving, making decisions or exchanging ideas and information. A facilitator helps the group by offering a structure in which to make a collective decision, but is not there to lead, distract or entertain.

Creative Problem Solving:

Viewing the fuzzy situation or undefined problem from a deliberately neutral position, Simplexity Thinking focuses a group through problem formulation to solution implementation using eight clear steps. The key process skill used by participants in the Simplexity Thinking process is the deferral of judgment.

Good to Great:

Developed using "The Hedgehog and the Fox" parable, Jim Collins defines the Hedgehog Concept as preparing three separate assessments in regards to the driving forces of your organization and identifying the common factors in which to focus.  "The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing."

LEAN/Six Sigma:

A disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactions and from product to service.

Harwood Institute:

Turning Outward is a fundamental mindset shift necessary to authentically understand and engage communities.  It helps you use your community, not your conference room, as the reference point for your choices and actions.  This methodology, honed over the past 30 years of research and experience, is the first step in transforming yourself and your team in service of your broader goals
