University of Southern Indiana

Spring 2023 Upper Level Transfer/Adult

Students that are transfer students with more than 59 credit hours  or are 25 years of age or older will complete Screaming Eagles Orientation in two parts (A and C). You may choose to participate in Part B.

Part A: Complete Transfer/Adult Online Orientation
Online Orientation will provide you and your family with information about advising, academic requirements, financial aid and billing, campus services and resources, and answer many other questions you might have about attending USI. You will complete this orientation at your own pace. It will take you 2-3 hours to complete. You don't need to do it in one sitting, but you will need to log in with the same information for the system to remember where you left off. The online orientation is a combination of videos and text and works best using the Google Chrome browser. Online Orientation will be available beginning October 1, 2022

Part B: Participate in Screaming Eagles Orientation (Optional)
Students will make a reservation for an on-campus Screaming Eagles Orientation. The morning will be spent learning more about USI, meeting faculty, staff and other students, and answering your questions. In the afternoon, you will have your advising and registration appointment and have the opportunity to take care of business while at USI, including getting your student ID. Lunch will be provided. Students may bring up to 2 guests. Students should plan to be on-campus from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on their orientation date.

Part C: Participate in an Advising Appointment and Register for Classes
When you complete your Orientation Reservation, you will confirm your major and receive information about contacting the appropriate advising center to schedule an appointment. When scheduling, you will have the option of an in-person or virtual appointment (via Zoom).

At this appointment, you will develop a schedule for your Spring 2023 classes. This appointment will be 30-45 minutes. Prepare for this appointment by having information about all college credit, including AP credit, you have earned or in which you are currently enrolled. These appointments will begin November 1, 2022.

We ask all new students to complete an orientation reservation, even if you are not participating in Part B.
