Rhodes Scholarship

  • GPA 3.7 or higher; Seniors and Recent Grads; All Majors. 
  • Study at Oxford University for one or two years in any course of study. 
  • Students must have demonstrated intellectual and academic achievement, also integrity, interest in and respect for their fellow beings, the ability to lead, and the energy to use their talents to the full. 
  • Covers all educational cost for one or two years of study at Oxford, living stipend, and travel expenses. May apply for extension to three years of study. 
  • USI deadline in September.

Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship

  • 3.2 GPA or higher required; Seniors and Recent Grads; All Majors. 
  • Women, members of underrepresented groups, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply. 
  • This fellowship program was created by the US State Department for outstanding students interested in careers as Foreign Service officers. 
  • Candidates must be seeking admission to graduate school for the following year in a two-year, full-time master's degree program in public policy, international affairs, or public administration, or in an academic field such as business, economics, political science, sociology, or foreign languages (US graduate institutions only). 
  • Fellows are obligated to a minimum of five years of service as a Foreign Service officer or may be required to reimburse the Department of State.
  • Financial support of up to $37,500 annually for actual expenses during two years of graduate school, to cover tuition, room and board, books, fees, and certain types of travel. Fellows receive stipends and a domestic summer internship between the two years; and a summer overseas internship following the second year.
