Student Steering Committee

Overview:

The University of Southern Indiana's Institutional Equity Office is offering a unique opportunity for any undergraduate or graduate students to positively influence the campus climate and culture.  This program will design, development, assess and facilitate workshops, programs, and training aimed at raising awareness to equity issues across campus and the prevention of all forms of discrimination and harassment, including Title IX harassment.

This peer group will lead conversations that foster a culture of equity, diversity and inclusiveness on the USI campus. As an added bonus, students will build a toolkit of transferrable skills such as writing, public speaking, interpersonal communication, problem-solving and leadership skills that will help set them apart in the job market.

Commitments & Expectations:

Those selected to serve on the SSC will be expected to adhere to the following:

  • Maintain good standing in USI and outer community
  • Active enrollment at USI with a GPA of 2.50
