For the second year in a row, USI students took first place in the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists Quiz Bowl in Indianapolis on October 25, 2019.
Forty-nine students from radiology programs from across the state of Indiana competed in the Quiz Bowl. Logan Kluesner of USI came in first place, bringing the traveling trophy back to USI for a second year in a row.
USI had five other students compete in the individual, single elimination competition: Megan Webster, Carly Price, Samantha Shelton, Autumn Rickard and Jordan Fox. In the final rounds, three of the nine remaining students were from USI.
Two faculty members from the USI Radiologic and Imaging Sciences programs were elected to the ISRT board of directors. Jeremy Smith, instructor, was elected to vice president, and Katherine Peak, clinical assistant professor, was elected to a two-year term as treasurer. Retiring from the ISRT board this year are Heather Schmuck, clinical associate professor, and Samantha Sawyer, instructor.
