The University of Southern Indiana is a constituent school chapter of the Indiana Association of Nursing Students (IANS). The University of Southern Indiana Association of Nursing Students (USIANS) was one of three chapters in the United States to achieve Stellar School status for 2016-2017. Being part of the IANS allows students to develop leadership skills and create a professional network to help them as they advance into their nursing careers. Students can serve in executive officer roles within USIANS, which provides them an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and build their resume. Students involved in USIANS will help mentor incoming students, work on community projects, and promote the nursing profession.
