Synchronous Meeting Requirements

The BSN to DNP courses will use virtual meetings for the ‘Synchronous Meeting Requirements.’  Students must have a computer with Internet access that supports video streaming. Each student will be required to attend the virtual meetings according to their study plan.   Each ‘on campus’ course will be approximately 2-3 days dedicated to class time, presentations, student projects, DNP project, and meetings with faculty. Student attendance for each synchronous meeting is mandated as a requirement of the BSN to DNP program curriculum. Failure to attend the entire on-campus activities will result in course failure and the inability to progress to subsequent courses until the ‘on-campus’ activities are completed when next offered.  Actual physical presence in not a requirement for the BSN to DNP course.

Four Year Curriculum Plan:

• First Semester: Monday during Week 1 fall semester (N601)
• Second Semester:   Thursday and Friday during Week 4 (N732, N733, N734, N866)
• Third Semester:  Friday during Week 4 (N735) 
• Fourth Semester:  Friday during Week 1 (N867) 
• Fifth Semester:  Tuesday and Wednesday during week of USI’s Research Conference (NURS 736)  
• Sixth Semester:  Friday during Week 8 (NURS 737)  
• Seventh Semester:  Friday during Week 7 (N738)
• Eighth Semester:  Tuesday and Wednesday during week of USI’s Research Conference (NURS 725)
• Ninth Semester:   Friday Week 8 (NURS 741)
• Tenth Semester:  Thursday and Friday in association with USI’s APN conference (specialty course)
• Eleventh Semester:  Friday (Week 4) based on APN specialty
