On behalf of everyone associated with the School of Graduate Studies, I welcome all of our new, continuing, and returning graduate students to the University of Southern Indiana! ...
At the University of Southern Indiana Fall meeting Provost Mohammed Khayum announced the establishment of the School of Graduate Studies. This new unit replaces the former office of Graduate Studies and is a recognition of the University of Southern Indiana’s commitment to every current, former, and future graduate student. Additionally, the School of Graduate Studies reflects the commitment that the university’s faculty and staff to those graduate students. As the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies I am honored to work alongside these colleagues as we strive to promote the significance of a graduate education at the University of Southern Indiana. I hope it is clear from the contents of this newsletter that although our name is new, our dedication to the success of all graduate students is stronger than it has ever been. Please reach out and let me know what we can do to make your experience as a graduate student at the University of Southern Indiana a transformative success.

The 6th Annual Graduate Student Colloquium will be held on April 5th, 2023 with both online and on-campus presentation options. The School of Graduate Studies welcomes presentations, papers, performances, etc. from USI graduate students and alumni. The theme will be announced in the next newsletter.
The School of Graduate Studies would like to welcome Dr. Moriah Smothers as Director of the Master of Science in Education and Education certificate programs. Dr. Bonnie Beach, previous Director of the MSE program, is currently serving as the Director of the Doctor of Education and Education Specialist, Educational Ledaership (EdS) certificate.

- Education Specialist, Education Leadership (EdS) (post-master's certificate)
To add or change to a new graduate program at USI, graduate students in good standing may complete the Change of Graduate Program form.
