What is a graduate student colloquium?

USI current and former graduate students will discuss the current state of their work, or the new directions they are pursuing. Presentations can include panel discussions, performances, and posters. Participants may present their contributions in-person or virtually (live - either in person or virtual - or pre-recorded options available).

Some graduate programs require students to present at a conference or seminar. The colloquium would be an excellent opportunity to fulfill that requirement.

Why should I participate?

  • Allow peers to notice your work
  • Professional development opportunity
  • Potential collaboration opportunities across graduate programs
  • Gather insightful comments that can aid in future research efforts
